FineReader Sprint How to Create a New Document with Quick Tasks

The Create Document from Images quick task will create a new FineReader document by loading image files or PDF documents from the file system.

FineReader documents make working with complex multi-page documents much easier. They contain page images, recognized text (if any text was recognized), page layout data, the recognition language and export settings. A FineReader document allows you to export results from specific pages rather than from all of the pages. When you are ready to resume work, you just need to open your saved FineReader document and export the remaining pages.

  1. In the NEW DOCUMENT section of the New Task window, select the create document from images task.
  2. Select the desired image files or PDF documents and click Open. See the "Appendix" for a list of supported image formats.

    Tip: When you add new files, you can specify the settings for opening PDF documents, automatic recognition, and image preprocessing. For more information, see "How to Get a Document Image".
